The second edition of Dental Student Camp DDR: Teeth Passion

took place from the 23rd to the 25th of August in Dobrovat, on the Glamping site of Afterhills festival.

This year, we wanted to reach a new level and mix learning through practice with the euphoria of a music festival.

Dental Student Camp brought together enthusiastic students, eager to learn and dedicated and passionate dental technicians.

The first day started with a tour of the Draghici Dental Laboratory to meet our team and see the technologies that they use. During the second part of the day, the participants and trainers got acquainted with one another even more and familiarized themselves with the Afterhills grounds.

As theory and practice go well together, our trainees had three theoretical sessions held by our technicians:

  • Introduction to Dentistry (Andrei Diaconița)
  • Morphology (Lucian Ropotă)
  • Stratification (Alin Gălățanu)

The second day started strong and consisted of a lot of hands-on work. The students learned more about plasters, worked with it and went through two important steps: the dentin as the first layer and transparent dentin for a pleasing visual effect. After checking those steps, all that was left was the enamel and finishing.

On the last day, our participants received their diplomas and had the opportunity to draw some conclusions. Some were tired, some had the energy that only a festival morning can bring, but all of them enjoyed both the music and their campmates’ company.

It is important for us that students understand what a career as a dental technician means before they start practicing it, as the future of this vocation relies on their training and their dedication to this field.

Craftmanship in dental technique Socializing Great memories

Meet the team of one of the biggest dental technical laboratory in Romania.

Dan Drăghici
Co-founder Drăghici dental

We decided to organize this event for students at a time when the dental technician’s job is at crossroads, at the confluence between technology and artistic passion. It is very important that future technicians know in depth what is happening daily in a laboratory, which are the requirements, trends and, last but not least, the satisfaction that the dental technician’s job brings. After last year’s successful pilot edition, we invite as many students as possible to apply to come with us!, says Dan Drăghici, co-founder Draghici Dental Laboratory.
