After the thorough selection of the participants, Student Camp brought together students that were keen to learn and colleagues from our laboratory.
As one needs to get acquainted with the workspace of a technician first, the trainees visited the laboratory, met the team and got familiar with the technology used during our day to day work. Open and witty discussions helped the participants find out more about a technician’s work and about the challenges that they face.
Apart from our colleagues, we also had a surprise guest joining us, Lucian Dânșorean. Together, they refreshed the bases of dentistry before helping the students start their work. Good cheer was an important part of our get-together, so a musical moment at nightfall was a must-have. Alexandra Andrei and Cosmin Vaman brought a smile on everyone’s face and made our night slightly louder, around a campfire, while gazing at the moon and starting long-lasting friendships.
We decided to organize this event for students at a time when the dental technician’s job is at crossroads, at the confluence between technology and artistic passion. It is very important that future technicians know in depth what is happening daily in a laboratory, which are the requirements, trends and, last but not least, the satisfaction that the dental technician’s job brings. After last year’s successful pilot edition, we invite as many students as possible to apply to come with us!, says Dan Drăghici, co-founder Draghici Dental Laboratory.
